CHAPTER TWENTY

Brandy outdid herself with another scrumptious meal. After they finished eating Papio took her upstairs to the bedroom and showed her the bed full of money.

“Have you ever seen that much money before, mami?”

She looked at him as if he’d lost his mind and said, “Hell to the no! How much money is that?”

He shrugged and said, “I haven’t counted it yet; from the looks of it it’s probably a little over a million.”

“Tha . . . that’s what I had in that van?”

“Yep. And there’s three more boxes full of money just like this one downstairs in the Navigator. We’ll get to that shit later though. I’m too tired to deal with that shit right now. Can I lay you down and make that body feel real good before I crash out for the night?”

“On one condition.”

“What’s that?”

“Can you make love to me on top of all that money? I want you to fuck me good on top of a million dollars, daddy.”

He smiled as he pulled her to the bed and slowly began to take off her clothes. When she was naked he began to make her body tingle all over as he licked and sucked her from head to toe. After they finished making love Papio fell into a peaceful sleep.

The next morning when he opened his eyes Brandy was up getting dressed for work. She smiled at him and said, “I counted that money for you, daddy. You were right, it was over a million dollars. 1.5 million to be exact.”

He sat up in the bed, wiped sleep from his eyes, and asked, “You counted all of that damn money? How long did it take you, mami?”

She shrugged and said, “A couple of hours. I was so excited about seeing all of that money I couldn’t sleep. You were knocked out and I didn’t want to disturb you so I pulled all of it off of the bed and set on the floor and counted it for you.” She pointed toward the money that she neatly stacked on the floor next to Papio’s dresser and said, “If there’s three more boxes full of money downstairs then you will have well over $5 million. Isn’t that enough for you to go legitimate?”

Papio shook his head from side to side and said, “Nope. That money is owed to someone. Once I take care of a tab I have then I can get really focused on reaching my goal.”

“What is your goal?”

He held up the index finger of his right hand and told her, “$100 million. When I have $100 million in my possession the game will be over and I will have won it. A few million wouldn’t do shit for a nigga like me, Brandy. My tastes are way above some crumbs like that.” He noticed the confused expression on her face and decided to dead the discussion; a square broad like her would never understand. That’s why I need Special in my life, he said to himself.
